Proposed move to construct number of solar plants all over India is an excellent move. However, for construction of such units we may have to import raw material for solar cells assembly again from China or Europe. This will drain our valuable foreign exchange to country like China for capital as well as for maintenance needs. Can we not construct plants to manufacture all raw material required for solar plants in India under Make in India program?

Same as Government succeded in distributing LED lamps through electricity board distribution,Solar lantern with solar panel can be distributed on nominal cost on the same process as LED lamps. This will encourage the use of solar to common people.I also suggest that every school affilated to CBSE should make one SOLAR DEMO ROOM for live interaction to students and parents coming during parent-teacher meetings.

Wastage of water, power and naything and service must be avoided becasue in making available anythign pwoer is used.GEneraltoon of power causes enviormentla problems. Even in case of Solar and Wind power some enviornmental conerns are involved. Even if I can save two glass of drining water daily, by taking and drinking water as required and avoiding wastage of water by partly using glass filled with water I can save about 15 units of electricity (directly and indiectly) in a year,

Solar energy is the most suitable and reliable energy for India. If I am not wrong, there are no manufacturers of SOLAR CELLS in India. We only have solar panel manufacturers. The Govt should concentrate on SOLAR CELL manufacturing. There is also a need for a regulatory mechanism on businesses which exploit the consumers. They quote one rate in JNNSM, but charge a different price actually - My personal experience. This should not be viewed as a individual experience but as a whole.

solar is the best option. target small traders for roof top installations as they generally have shade-free roofs. about 150 sq ft preferably facing south and inclined at 15% is ideal for a 1 kw system which will generate about 5 units per day. give solar panels (costing about rs 50,000) free. remaining cost of around rs 50,000 from bank loans. offer hefty discounts if they choose to buy computers and avail internet with the condition that all trade transactions should be billed on-line
