The vibrant city of Nashik has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 98 cities to participate in stage 2 of the “Smart City Challenge”. The Smart City mission will act as a catalyst as the city adapts to urbanisation and industrialisation while preserving its cultural heritage. The Mission definition of a ‘Smart City’ is open to interpretation depending on the city itself. However, the essence of a smart city is in the use of technology to improve the citizen’s quality of life. Towards this endeavour, the city would prepare a ‘Smart City Proposal’ (SCP) outlining smart urban solutions in the water, sewerage, transport and allied sectors and improved liveability and governance in order to make the city resilient, sustainable and people friendly.

The Vision for the city needs to be arrived at after considering the needs and priorities of its citizens. Nashik Municipal Corporation invites suggestions and comments from its citizens on ways to make the city smart. You could suggest ways to improve the service levels and ability of the city to adapt to the changing needs of its citizens and develop into a world class city. Your suggestions would not only be a valuable indicator of the direction in which the city needs to move forward but also help Nashik to get shortlisted as one among the top 20 cities in India in phase 1.

Our civic bodies do not have a single urban planner. In cities like London, chief urban planner is the second most important official after the mayor. That is the importance given to planning," .If a city has to really become world class , the first thing is to get experts from various disciplines, including urban planners, architects, transportation planners, financial managers and environmental engineers.

sare dharmio sthan por, office, play ground, shop,hotel especially, street area basics, etc. sara sthan por role hona chahiye. admi ko hor tarof se discipline me bandh na chahiye. especially school ko extra dekhna chahiye, jaha se future ka dharuhor manufacture hota he. ajkal ka student srif mark ke pichhe dor ta he out of mark they are very weak.

1.We need to make separate lanes for different vehicles in the roads and everyone should follow this. 2.Waste disposal is also a major prblm.we should recycle this by making use of plastics in road construction,dumping organic wastes so it will become manure. 3.Banning of plastics and drinks like coke,Pepsi must be banned because they are not a healthy drinks because it has high ph content in it.#MyGov

Frst we need to make Chennai as a clean city and then we can think about smart city.we need to insist many changes in many departments.they are 1.incorporating pollution control machines in all factories in Chennai 2.Developing organic gardening in the terrace of each and every house.By insisting this we can able to create disease free Chennai.It also helps in bringing rain and the house owners can use the products for their own purpose which will make their family healthy and wealthy.#MyGov

Major source of waste in wet waste is vegetable at sabji-mandi. While returning to home, sellers throw all their inventory, if it can not be transported. My idea is to 1] initiate a repository of vegetables, where vegetables from all sellers will be stored; and they will be given a receipt. 2] grading before receipt shall be done 3] sellers will sell in day time & store are repository at the end of the day This will avoid wastage of valuable vegetables and give farmers/sellers worth if it.

Every day we scrap some or other things. If we assume the whole world as source of scrap, at the end of the day, these scraps are going to be available for recycling. I see, may steel scrap items lie open in environment, rust and go as waste. It is possible to protect the waste from such degradation. Transport them quickly to waste-recycling-plants to extract the metals. Encourage citizens to improve handling of waste & give incentives. Factory be rated on how much waste it produce

The city of Nashik requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
