The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

For making Pasighat as smart city, first of all, the people of Pasighat should be smart, by keeping own surrounding clean. As you know, in Pasighat electricity & water supply is the main problem, so I would suggest that these should be 24x7 and well developed. Dustbin should be kept in road side. The main thing is road, I think pedestrian should be made to prevent accident and speed breaker.

Since industrial revolution, the poor got riches and the rich got even richer. In pasighat the gap between the rich and poor in a serious matter like they work as sweepers, dustbin pickers and some are beggars who sleep in the roads and loiter here and there in the market place. A smart city should promote financial inclusion by bring poor under the shelter of banking services and insurance at cheaper rate.
