In Udaipur, there are many public buildings (schools, colleges, hospitals) where vacant land can be developed for paid parking facilities. Monthly charges for nearby localities and hourly charges for visitors could help recover the investments, and save lot of troubles related to congestion and traffic jams. In the walled city area, underground parking in public offices could server similar purposes.

#SmartCity, #Udaipur, #MyGov, Udaipur needs organised micro-transport. It needs to be an open market, but with regulated vehicles that do not pollute (electric vehicles). These should replace auto-rickshaws and form the back bone of Udaipur's local mass transport system. Connecting them to a simple IT backbone so peak traffic can be catered to will result in a better run system

my observation in most cities is that truck drivers illegally overload their trucks due to which they use an immense amount of fuel. They should have a weight sensor which allows them to carry the allowed weight of goods and if they exceed the truck or tempo which has overloaded itself will shut down the engine and the truck will not move. this will save fuel and reduce accidents occurring due to overloading the vehicle, and if they are caught overloading they should be fined heavily #smartcity

unorganized lamba auto should be either properly tackled or removed from the road and the lamba auto drivers should be given other alternative of transport like battery rickshaw. Another big problem is parking, all parking should be paid and locals should encourage public transportation. Also require CNG vehicles in city.
