The custom duty on buying of research equipments online should be reconsidered. What research equipment costs says $10 in USA costs almost double here in India, when you buy it online. This is severely impeding scientific research. More examples can be provided on how scientific equipments which are not available in India are costing more than double the price if imported from abroad.

Export : If the cargo is under Central Excise sealing/supervision, it should not not subjected to Examination to save time as it is already examined by central excise officers. Seal type A should be subjected to minimum open. Import : With advent of Single window system , without E-noc clearnance is not possible. it is observed that on saturday and some other days the PGA offices are closed, a override permission should be given with system/manager /Asst. commissioner as as to permit clearance

Baggage and passenger clearance gets tedious when passengers have to lift their bags off the trolleys and put it into a separate scanner before going in to check in at the airport. And female passengers sometimes get checked privately behind a screen and sometimes they do not. Its a little inconsistent if the government is actually trying to provide security.
