Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Last date of submission is 15th June, 2018, 05:00PM

Respected sir ,I salute to your efforts to shape the nation but as the citizen of the country we all need to put more efforts to transfer our nation from developing to developed.firstly our law should become strict in matter of cleanliness should fine that person who avoid the rules by using cctv like in other nations.

Respected sir, India is a nation that has scope for improvement in a lot of fields but keeping todays scenarios on mind combining theese six ideas along with those of Mahatma Gandhi's would do a lot more to our improvement: boycott plastic, Gratitude towards teachers and importance of good teachers in development of society, patriotism and gratitude for our soldiers through taking disciplin making resolutions, sex education, innovation and entrepreneurship ideas

माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी मेरा सुझाव है कि यदि हमें 2022 तक भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त देश बनाना हैं तो इसकी शुरुआत अभी से करनी होगी और यह तभी सम्भव होगा जब देश कैशलेस होगा इसके लिए हमें बडे नोट जैसे 500 व 2000 के बन्द करने होंगे।
