Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Last date of submission is 15th June, 2018, 05:00PM

Sir, we request you take a hard decision for the welfare of our country , in reservation policy and apply it strictly for poor and needy persons irrespective of caste and religion who are deprived of it's actual advantage. SKILL LEVEL OF OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DOWN AND DOWN AS WE ARE OMITTING THE HIGH LEVEL SKILL IN ANY COMPETITION AND TAKING THE LESS SKILL PERSONS HAVING LESS MARKS .I am not opposing the reservations policy sir,but if it is to be applied ,it must be for poor person ,needy person.

when selecting candidates any where as it has been done this year in most prestigious Engineering entrance exam of IIT . It is always better to provide the facilities such as free coachings , education to upgrade the actually needed persons irrespective of their caste, to appear in any particular competition and make them elligible to qualify exams , but how a candidate with a less marks in comparison to others can be selected. See and study the cut off of IIT mains which is upto minus 35.

Dear PM Sir, its very difficult for NRIs to come and vote during elections all the time so try to make this possible so that they can vote to their leaders from all over the world. This can be like visiting to embassy, showing valid IDs and vote. Before 2019 election there should be efforts to check for voter id cards of citizens and rectify all issues. This will help to detect fake voters as well as solving issues for genuine voters. This drive can be like population counts.

Respected Sir, I am grateful for all efforts being done for New India. So many welfare schemes for all but still lies being spread and citizens are misguided so my suggestion is that all party member or supporters need to visit door to door all over India to make people aware with schemes and assist in getting benefits. Share their own number to assure all kind of supports related to all fields at any time. We need you PM Sir to make India global leader else others will again destroy this.

Hello sir, I appreciate ur deeds for all of us. I think u r just like a Mahatma gandhi ji who always believe in truth, peace, equality and empowerment of poor people. Gandhi ji had won the movement only because of peace. They believe in peace and equality.. That's why everyone appreciate their works for poor people.

Modi ji, i am glad for giving suggestion for my nation's truly admiring figure Mahatma Gandhi.I am very thankful to Nation's governance which is really in good hands. Suggestions- 1.Gandhi ji is known for his spririt of change in society. So, we may all celebrate it in the favour of poorer of poor who can't even know their rights. So,there is time to bring change by allowing them to come up as proud Indian. Main thing is to make aware of Gandhi mission. Allowing everyone to be gandhi
