Department of Telecommunications (DoT) through their letter dated 27th February 2019 has informed that Indian Railways has proposed to install an Ultra-high-speed LTE based communication corridor along their network for Train-Ground and Train-Train communication. In this connection Indian Railways has requested DoT to reserve 15 MHz of spectrum in 700 MHz band for the purpose and to begin with 10 MHz to be allocated free of cost as the proposal is devoid of any commercial gain, but only for enhancing security and passenger amenities. Through the said letter, DoT has also requested TRAI to provide recommendations on administrative allotment of spectrum to Indian Railways and the quantum, price, appropriate frequency band (including 450-470 MHz band) and any other related issue.

A Consultation Paper on “Allotment of Spectrum to Indian Railways for Public Safety and Security Services” has been released to discuss the issues involved. Written comments on the issues raised in the Consultation Paper are invited from the stakeholders by 22nd July 2019 and counter-comments by 5th August 2019.

It is one of the most welcome idea.Since railways is already having bbig network,it will be easiest way to connect village panchayat with T GOVT initiatives and communications.Easy for students and farmers to get knowledge Now a days approximately 5 lakh farmers a 5 lakh farmers are already using YouTube for learning improved agriculture techniques .

I want to tell you that please provide more technologies in Police station so Cyber crime can be decreases now a day so many fraud happened but doesn't taken any action by police because lack of technologies and after done frauds still frauds maker phone active but no body can stop them because they know about indian cyber security and police they do nothing in fever of public so please improve our cyber security so fraud maker think twice before do anything.....

Railways must be allotted spectrum to keep safety of running trains and prevent robbery in the running train Beside railways can provide wifi service to passengers either paid or free Those need wifi can buy ticket with wifi charges no need to levy charge on all passengers Wifi service to passengers ensure their safety and convenience

श्रीमान/श्रीमती 4- भीड़ वाली जगह और रेलों की संख्या बढ़ाई जाये 5- मुंबई लोकल पर अधिक गंभीरता से सोचे 6- हादसों को दूर करने के लिए हर स्टेशन पर ब्रिज अनिवार्य हो 7- कीमती सामान की चोरियों को रोकने के लिए हर एक सीट पर locker की सुविधा हो 8- खाने की गुणवत्ता बहुत ही खराब है, इस पर विचार हो 9- AC कोच में कोच सहायक को तलाशना पड़ता है, इस पर विचार हो 10- हर एक ट्रेन में फर्स्ट ऐड हो, अगर होती होगी तो इसकी जानकारी नहीं होती यात्रियों को Tanveer Alam, Social Worker Mumbai

श्रीमान/श्रीमती सभी से प्रार्थना है कि यहाँ जो सुझाव दिए जा रहा है सभी पर गहराई से सोचे, सभी ने जो महसूस किया वो लिखा है, रेलवे में बहुत सुधार करना है, और इस सुधार में पहले रेलवे को यात्रियों के सही सेवा देना है ! 1- बुजुर्ग लोगो को ब्रिज चढ़ने में बहुत प्रॉब्लम होती है और हर एक जगह एलिवेटर नहीं है 2- लिखित शिकायतों पर न के बराबर कार्यवाही होती है, इस पर गंभीरतापूर्वक विचार हो ! 3-आम नागरिक ऑनलाइन तत्काल टिकेट बुक नही कर सकता, इस पर विचार हो, एजेंट आसानी से कर लेते है तनवीर आलम लेखक

Respected TRAI The height of railway platforms should be increase and gap between railway track and platform should me decrease so that train can stop closer to the platform and their will not be gap between train and platform. And passengers can move into train easily and risk of coming under the train can be decrease. And one special step TRAI can take is , plantation of plants around railway platform.

THINK IS A BEST OF THINKS IS BETTER FOR RAILWAY AND PASSENGER PROBLEM SOLVED TOOK TO ACTION IS FAST AND IMMEDIATE RESPECTED DEAR SIR VERY PERDURABLE STEPS FOR THE INDIANS WHY ARE PROBLEM CREATED A UNOFFICIALLY EX. DELAY THE TRAIN ALL WORK INDIVIDUALLY BUT WHY ARE DELAY INDIA FACE THE PROBLEM TO TRAIN LATE .

It's a good requirement and can be allocated without any cost to Railways with an agreement not to use this for passenger services like providing Wi-Fi connectivity etc. Also as this is premium spectrum for 5G, Railways will have to make sure that the equipment they procure for providing public safety, are low cost and high quality with longer shelf life in Indian Weather.
