Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a consultation Paper on Review of network related Quality of Service standards for Cellular Mobile Telephone Service.

In the wake of phenomenal growth in cellular mobile telephone service, technology changes that have taken place in the recent times and increasing concerns of consumers relating to Quality of Service perceived by them, there is a need to review the Quality of Service parameters and benchmarks so as to streamline the monitoring of the parameters, its measurement and the regulatory framework. This could lead to better Quality of Experience by users. With these objectives, the Authority has released a Consultation Paper today for initiating a consultation process to review the network related Quality of Service standards.

This consultation paper describes the various parameters and respective benchmarks for assessment of Quality of Service of 2G and 3G networks. The Authority seeks the views of the stakeholders as to how to bring about changes in these benchmarks and possibly add parameters, if required, to improve the Quality of Service experience by the customers. It also envisaged to add relevant parameters for 4G/BWA services also, in view of their deployment in the network. The consultation paper seeks to know from the stakeholders as to what will be the appropriate way to calculate call drop rates through meta data analysis of CDRs. The mechanism of imposing of financial disincentives in case of below the bench mark performance has also been raised in this consultation paper.

Last date for submitting the comments is 16th September, 2016.

I live in Delhi I am facing network issue for long time many time my calls are dropped and most of the time voice breaks so I pay every month bill I feel cheated so please modi sir do big changes into this areas it also help in grow India because every small thing make big thing

TRAI can not minimize cheaper internet net rate...because TRAI is boss of all our indian private telecommunication company...if private company internet rate low compare to TRAI..so why not not possible reduce rate of private company...? if our government want direct customer to producter by internet...Likes any government authority complain,fill up form and registration etc..Now a days internet is most inportant role in comman man normal utilisation...Thanks

Respected PM sir Plz see my PDF file attached herewith ,sir main ek BSNL ka privet Employee hu,main BSNL TElephone exchange Patna Bihar me contact ke through 10Years se kam kar raha hu.mera problem hain ki ham 12 Hours kam karte hai aur payment contractor ke through 4000 only par month diya jata hain,sath me sosan bhi bahut kiya jata hai.is letter ke madhyam se apko inform karna chante hai ki aaj india kitna devlop kar gaya hai phir bhi ek aam admi ko kitna sosan kiya ja raha hai.

सेल्‍युलर मोबाइल टेलीफोन सेवा एवं इंटरनेट नेटवर्किग में सुधार हेतु लक्ष्‍य निर्धारित किया जावे गुणवत्‍ता में सुधार हेतु वायरलेस सेवा मे नित्‍य नये अनुसंधान की आवश्‍यकता है केबिल्‍स के स्‍थान पर सेटेलाईट के माध्‍यम से नये प्रयोग निरंतर किये जाने चाहिए।

Dear Prime Minister Sir, Since last 10 months I am working in Hong Kong and to my surprise, till date I have never faced any issue of Call drop, or call disconnection in last 10 months, here the minimum broadband speed is also 100 Mbps, but when I was in India, I has a meager broadband speed of 2 Mbps, and everyday I used to face more than one call drop issue, please help in getting these network related issues fixed at earliest such that people in India can avail better services

जय हिन्द sir में गुजरात के कच्छ जिल्ले के अबदास तालुका से हु मेरे गाव का नाम सिंहोडिमोटि हे हमारे गाव में केवल vodafone कही network आताहै और कोई नेटवर्क नही हे और उश्मेभि बोहोत दिकत हे बहोत मेगा charge लेते हे और उतना network भी नही देले देश में आज कल 4g चल रहा हे मगर हमारे गाव में तो 2g भी ठीक से नही चार रहा है क्या यही विकाश हे? के गाव की और देखनाभि नही इशोको आप बदलता भारत केते है और 2016 में हमारे गाव में bsnl ब्रोडबेंड और लेन लाईन भी कोई सुविधा नही हे पूछने पर कहते हे आपका गाव रेन्ज सेदूरहे

SIR, 1] Irrespective of what charges big or small, we should get the service that we pay charges for. 2] There should be proper escalation / complaint process which would ensure we get the service we pay for. 3] Since 16 months I am fighting with Idea Cellular with MD Idea Cellular, TRAI, Govt Portal and email ID's in loop, still ZERO network issue not resolved till date. 4] The service provider should pay compensation for not providing the service that was committed or charged for by law.

Dear Sir, while Using Data There Should be 3G & 4G Data uses And Charges Of Recharge Should Not Be So High And While Using Data in Roaming The Amount Should Not Deducted From The Main Balance As if Data Pack is Activated On The Mobile Phone It Is Should From the Data balance Only. All Over India Roaming Should Be Free
