Together, let’s make our cities better. Make your voice heard! Citizens are the drivers of change for any city. We want to know the most pressing problems you and your city are facing related to the following four main sectors. After we receive your responses, a series of smart city hackathons will be conducted to put our best minds to solving relevant problems using technology:

1.Urban mobility—Moving you, your family, and your belongings: What challenges and frustrations do you face in getting around your city? What issues do you face when walking, biking, taking public transit, or parking in your city? What are the biggest barriers to affordable, accessible, efficient, and safe transportation in your city?

2.Solid waste management—Handling your garbage, your recycling, and your compost: What challenges and frustrations do you face in dealing with garbage, recycling, and compost in your city? What are issues behind collection, segregation, and waste disposal? What are the barriers to sustainable, efficient, and effective solid waste management in your city?

3.Water supply—Distributing water from the source to you: What challenges and frustrations do you face in accessing water for drinking, cooking, and washing in your city? Is the water supply available at an individual household level? What are the barriers to ample, uninterrupted, and safe water supply in your city?

4.Citizen safety and security—Protecting you by preventing crime, danger, and disaster: What challenges and frustrations do you face in moving confidently and without stress around your city? What issues do residents—in particular women, children, and senior citizens—in your city face when it comes to safety? What are the barriers to reliable, prompt, and effective security services in your city?

Please use #UrbanMobility to provide your inputs on Urban Mobility. Similarly use #SolidWasteManagement, #WaterSupply, #CitizenSafetyandSecurity for providing inputs on respective area

Corruption: Inspite of too much work done against corruption by govt. still there lies corruption in railway parcel offices in many places...Since railway parcell staffs think themselves as son-in-laws of govt., they do no proper work at their part. At every moment, bribes are demanded to parcel the bike or receive the bike.Hence Corruption can never be controlled. If any one doesn't agree with this, then just do the practical instead of verbal. I just experienced this at Bhopal Rly Parcel Offic.

The most important issue in today's daily life is citizens security specially for women. our motherland is bieng recognised in various fields all over the world then why don't we try to make our country the safest place for citizens and more importantly for women which are pride of our nation. In my opinion more and more pplice officers should be appointed for the security of women. This will even increase the job opp. in civil sector and the crime will surely decrease making India safer.

Lack of Multistoreyed Public/Private Car Parking, can govt put restriction that to buy a car, buyer has to show proof of his car park space, this may push car manufacturers to construct car parking buildings in cities.Lack of covered pavement/bicycle track in hot urban cities, can we install solar roof over pavements and bicycle tracks to save pedestrians from the heat and generate solar power for ULB.Peak bus crowd, can we allow private bus/omnibus operators to serve in peak hours to reduce crowding

Lack of Public Toilets along roads?.Schools, college, office start and finish almost same time, increasing peak traffic.Lack of Last mile connectivity eg Bangalore KG Metro Station and Main Railway Station.Lack of Development of suburban railway eg Yeswantpur-Hosur route.Meter charges not followed by autos. Why more emphasis to road than railways. For new National Highways, can we plan double railway line inthe middle of road as divider,at road junctions, the rail line can go in underground tunnel

Productive time lost in Bangalore Traffic, pollution and waste of fuel. Road racing between private Bus operators to pick passengers and increase revenue, resulting in dangerous driving and overtaking and unsafe roads for other users. Same time opening and closing of schools, college and office, resulting in excess peak hour traffic? Ribbon development,Malls and Restaurants located on the sides of national highway in the city centre resulting in unwanted increase in Traffic? Lack of Pavements ?
