Beating Plastic Pollution: My Way Forward By Saumya Bhandari Plastic is everywhere—but I’ve chosen to fight it, one habit at a time. I use cloth bags, a steel bottle, and avoid plastic-packaged goods. At home, I reuse plastic containers for storage, plants, and crafts—turning waste into purpose. Recycling is now a responsibility. I segregate waste, spread awareness, and guide others to drop plastics at proper centers. It wasn’t always easy—sustainable choices were limited, and some doubted my efforts. But I kept going, because the planet matters. Now, I run small awareness drives and share eco-friendly tips online. The 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—are not just actions, but a way of life. Together, we can beat plastic pollution.

Govt should silent on use of plastic but govt should encourage people to deposit plastic and use less plastic 1 govt should establish plastic sangrahan Kendra at panchayat level and at railway station and use this plastic in factories as raw materials private sector companies should invited to use this plastic and pay govt ....use this payout to pay back people who deposit plastic...by this govt can create a PSU .. use this plastic in creative things like in plastic roads....plastic walls plastic bricks for garden , beach protection wall...tree guards govt should start these bricks use at govt gardens like in sansad and other military stations. companies should innovate a plastic layer from waste plastic which can be used in water trenches which is mostly used in rajasthan and plastic tripoline used in these tanks...by this plastic layer plastic tripoline use can be reduced

Namaste ji. After the advice of our Honourable PM on Single use Plastics, Myself followed and following till now. When I go for purchase tiffin items, going with Stainless steel containers for side dishes. Weekly once I'm using Banana leaf instead of plates except unavoidable food ordering. I'm refusing carry bags by going with cloth bags which I stored in two wheeler always at the time of vegetables purchase and other purchases. As a responsible Citizen and MyGov Saathi ,I'm following the above principles and obeying Government initiatives. Without public co operation it is impossible to eradicate Plastics. Not for us. To save the Whole world,it is more important to get and share awareness for Healthy living of future generation. Say No to Plastics Say yes to Healthy Bharat. Jai hind

Namaste ji. Our Honourable PM initiated the movement for "No Plastics ". In the early stages people understood the Impacts to our future generation due to single use Plastics. But After Covid, Situations changed completely. Because of SOPs people again went to Disposable items for food and other purchase. Except some states, now again Plastics usage increased. I request Honourable PM to speak again with strong warnings against the Plastics usage hazard. Apart from the Human being, Animals also have been affected due to ate Plastics. Before a month also, the veterinary officials found in Dead Elephant stomach that more Plastics with a baby Elephant. More birds and cattle also affected due to the consumption of single use Plastics. We are having more Responsibility to save earth by using 6th sense to save animals which are having only 5 senses. I Honourable PM to give free hands to Government officials in elimination of Plastics with Iron handed actions. Jai hind

My Home-Lab Process: Extracting Starch: I boiled potato peels and blended them to extract starchy water. Mixing Natural Ingredients: I added corn starch, vinegar (acetic acid) to adjust pH, glycerin as a plasticizer, and lemon juice to help preserve the sheet. Heating the Mixture: I stirred the mixture on low heat to let it thicken into a gel-like substance — understanding the concept of gelatinization and polymer bonding in real time. Casting & Drying: I poured the mixture onto a flat surface and let it dry for 24–48 hours, observing how variables like humidity, thickness, and ingredient ratios affected the final product.
