I suggest installing plastic reverse vending machines like Sparklo in schools, malls, and public places to encourage plastic bottle recycling. I use Sparklo regularly—it’s fun and rewarding, offering points or coupons for every bottle recycled. We should promote refill stations for household items to cut down single-use plastics. Schools can lead the way by becoming plastic-free zones, banning plastic tiffins and bottles, and holding awareness drives. Let’s also set up community plastic banks where people exchange plastic waste for eco-friendly items. Through such innovative and practical steps, we can reduce plastic pollution and build a cleaner, greener India.

Plastic is a very important part of the life. We are focusing carry bags only. but we are geting all packed items like sweets, pulses, medicine, courier bags, fertilisers, automobile spares, lubricants, food items and other almost items. And at present there is no substitute for this. We have to address to some extend by making compalsary to buy back water bottles by the drinking water and soft drinks manufacturer. since they are enjoying big profit, they have to take back the used bottles. All plastick manufacturer should have a recycling units and they have to recycle their product container. In their every advertisements they have to mention they will take backbthe bottles and reimburse the money. Government shoukd have their own recycling unit and target based working. The employees of the unit should get salary on target achievements. And bottles and plastic collection centers should be opened at every part of the panchayath and each panchayath has to recycle the plastic.

"Donation of Plastic Bottles, A Tribute to Humanity." We often see many hardworking individuals searching through garbage for plastic bottles to earn a living. These people are not just working for themselves but are also the unsung heroes of our society and environment. They help keep our cities clean and form the backbone of the recycling industry. Now is the time for a small but impactful step—let’s place special "Plastic Donation Dustbins" near every street, park, school, or office, with a sign that reads: "Please put your plastic bottles here. It might help someone fill their stomach." This simple initiative can bring about a big change: The poor and needy will get safe plastic to collect. The city will remain clean and tidy. The recycling industry will get better raw materials. Employment opportunities will increase. The environment will be protected. Let’s come together to support this initiative and honor humanity.

I am writing to share an inspiring grassroots initiative we have been leading in Pedana, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India, aimed at combating plastic pollution and promoting sustainable living. Since 2022, our community has been actively engaged in a campaign to reduce plastic usage and raise awareness about its environmental and health impacts. Some of our key efforts include: Distribution of 5,000 cloth bags to encourage alternatives to plastic covers. Educational outreach in local schools, where we spoke to students about the dangers of plastic pollution. Town-wide banner displays with messages highlighting the health risks of plastic, including links to cancer and heart disease. Regular sharing of scientific findings on microplastics and their health effects through local WhatsApp groups. Provision of 1,000 reusable steel glasses for use in family functions and community events—an initiative that has already seen strong adoption.

plastic pollution is endemic in everything everywhere and we should all contribute our bit for the same to prevent its menace and lead happy healthy plastic free life e.g.yesterday on World Environment day, I went to vegetables market and all vendors were packing fruits and vegetables in plastic bags
