Ajmer, the city rich in heritage and culture inRajasthan has been selected as one of the 100 cities in India under the Government of India’s flagship programme – the Smart Cities Mission. Ajmer Municipal Corporation (AMC) is pleased to inform that they are now in the process of formulating a Smart City Proposal to participate in the Smart City Challenge. This process requires extensive citizen participation and stakeholder consultations at multiple levels for formulating a vision statement and strategies for the development of the city.

To succeed in this ambitious target, we request the citizens of Ajmer to provide their valuable suggestions and aspirations regarding the development of the city through this platform. Citizen’s valuable inputs and innovative ideas will help us in developing a sustainable smart city proposal for Ajmer.

We look forward for the active participation of the citizens and request them to share their vision for a Smart Ajmer city.

We request you to submit your suggestions by 30th November, 2015.

BHARAT, IS THE SMART NATION IN THE WORLD,IT IS THE ONLY NATION IN THE WORLD PEOPLE CAN LIVE PEACEFULLY.MAKING SMART CITIES ARE VERY GOOD EFFORT FOR THE NATION.PLEASE KEEP IN MINED OUR MIXED ECONOMY AND WE HAVE TO MAKE SMART VILLAGES WITH ALL FELICITIES WITH OUR OWN.INTERDEPENDENCE ON OTHERS IN ANY WAY WITH ANY NEW NAME MAY LEAD BACK TO THE ERA 1947.

See is believing- I suggest we mount WIFI cameras on all the govt owned transport vechiles (buses / trucks / vans / 2 wheelers ) and connect them to various depts of public health / police / transport / roads / garbage clearance and many more ,these cameras will give live feed of the quality of roads / movement of vechiles / traffic violations/ garbage on streets / illegal hoardings / misuse of power for political rallies / road side tree cuttings / public behaviour in bus stands and many more

The followings may be few suggestive measures for a smart and clean city: 1. Street washing before sweeping; 2. Use Bio-disposers to dispose kitchen / bio-degradable waste directly to sewer network. 3. Areas without sewer network may be provided with Bio-digesters for tackling bio-degradable waste. 4. Manage all type of Solid Waste separately without co-mingling for efficient reuse / recycling. & 5. Prefer to provide decentralised sanitation facilities, community managed & self sustainable.

In respect to smart city, people safety and security specially to woman should be given high priority.CCTV camara should be fixed at all the points from entrance of city to exit of city, which should be constantly monitored. smart city should be trade,sercives and business oriented, NO industries which make pollution, should be sanctioned within the limit of 25 kms of the city. The city should be completely with trees and plants,it should be pollution free, The people should feel like heaven

The city of Ajmer requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
