Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is India's most ambitious Infrastructure programme aiming to develop new industrial cities as "Smart Cities" and converging next generation technologies across infrastructure sectors. The objective is to expand India's manufacturing and services base and develop DMIC as a "Global Manufacturing and Trading Hub". The programme will provide a major impetus to planned urbanization in India with manufacturing as the key driver.

In addition to new Industrial Cities, the programme envisages development of infrastructure linkages like power plants, assured water supply, high capacity transportation and logistics facilities as well as softer interventions like skill development programme for employment of the local populace. In the first phase seven new industrial cities are being developed. The programme has been conceptualized in partnership and collaboration with Government of Japan.

The logo of DMICDC should be innovative and should echo the objective and the work being done by DMICDC.

Selected design will get a prize money of Rs.50, 000/-.

The last date of submission is 31st December, 2015.

#DMICDC:In the logo design I have shown a rising sun. In 3 different places of the sun rays I have shown:1) An aircraft representing development of transport – surface as well as air,2)Electricity representing development of industries and 3) a high rise building representing development of infrastructure like homes, roads, bridges etc. In front of the sun I have shown 3 zig zag lines showing development of water supplies. Inside the sun I have shown the 6 maps of the States of the Corridor.

- The logo is designed as a wheel with the tri-color represents "India Moving Forward" - It has a large gear at the centre which symbolises "Industrialization" - Across the centre you see Delhi (India Gate) and Mumbai (Gateway of India) connected by the proposed corridor - Each circle on the gear teeth represents the following pillars that would support DMIC (Clockwise from top) 1. Power supply 2. Logistics 3. Skill development 4. Partnership with Japan 5. Water supply 6. Roads
