During his Mann ki Baat on 27th December 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that we utilise the occasion of Republic Day to reacquaint ourselves with our national heroes by voluntarily cleaning their statues and the accompanying premises.
Citizens have actively taken up this suggestion and have converted it into a #StatueCleaning week beginning from 23rd January 2016, the birth anniversary of revolutionary freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. On 26th January we celebrated our 67th Republic Day and remembered the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution. This way, during that week, it became not only an opportunity to acquaint ourselves again with the lives of these great Indians, but also to pay our homage to many other of our national heroes, by cleaning their statutes and spreading awareness about their work.
Now, on 14th April, we celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. It will again be an opportunity to pay homage to the Father of our Constitution and acquaint ourselves with his works and teachings.
On this forum, creators of #StatueCleaning events and volunteers taking part in these events can upload the pictures of their activities using the hashtag #StatueCleaning. These contributions can then also be shared on Twitter and Facebook.

मूर्तियो पर हार चढाने वाले वरिष्ठो से इनके मेन्टेनेनस का पैसा लेना चाहिए। सबसे ज्यादा इनकी वजह से ही वयवस्था खराब होती है और हम सब का भी कोई कम दोष नही,जब जयन्ती या पुन्यतिथी होती है तो तब मूर्तियॉ याद रहती और उपस्थित हो जाते है और पूरे वर्ष कोई मतलब नही। तो जागरूकता स्वयं मे लानी होगी। जब सब की नजर होगी तो हर मूर्ति साफ व सुन्दर रहेगी जिसपे हमे गर्व होगा।ये हमारी जिम्मेवारी है कि हम मुर्तियो के साथ साथ मुर्ति स्थल को भी गन्दा ना करे।।

सर मै मनरेगा के सही उपयोग के बारे में कहना चाहता हूँ
क्यों न मनरेगा को खेती से जोड़ दिया जाय किसानो का रजिस्ट्रेसन करा कर मनरेगा में काम करने वाले मजदूरो को खेतो में काम कराया जाय।
इससे किसानो की लागत भी कम हो जायेगी और मनरेगा के जरिये लोगो को रोजगार भी मिलता रहेगा।
और गाँव में बहुत सारे लोगो को 365 दिन रोजगार भी मिल जायेगा और सरकार पर अतिरिक्त पैसे का भार भी नही पड़ेगा।
#StatueCleaning एक निश्चित अन्तराल पर महापुरुषो की मूर्तियो की साफ सफाई सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आम जनता के साथ साथ अग्निशमन विभाग का सहयोग भी लिया जाना चाहिए। अग्निशमन विभाग का सहयोग मूर्तियो की साफ सफाई सुनिश्चित करने मे काफी कारगर साबित होगा साथ ही साथ आम जनता का उत्साहवर्धन भी होगा।
I really appreciate this programme "Statue Cleaning - My Contribution Towards Nation Building" and very thankful to our Prime Minister that he start such a good programme .
But sir , i request all the people , they are cleaning statues of our leaders who inspire us a lot is a good thing , but i request all of them to study about their life , living standards , their contribution to society and tell to all near by ones starting from family members .
I have one suggestion cleaning india plz 15 day a school and college one lecture to give cleaning India and doing some work and main benefit is just growing a lillte student and they all are our Indian future and sir you do that this thing so ifacat is major and all students and collage family do that cleaning india and they all work for that thier society and nearst area so small think but effect is big just you think that
सफाइ एक अाम विषय है। सभी लाेगाें काे इस पर बगैर संकाेच सामान्य पहल करने की अावश्यकता है। साथ ही यदि हम कुछ अाैर न कर सके ताे कम कम यही पयास करे कि हमारे द्रारा काेइ गंदगी न फैलाइ जाय।
