We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Dear Friends, as far as my understanding is concerned, SMART CITY does not mean concrete jungle or High rise buildings in the city. It is about building a sustainable City with basic infrastructures provided to the citizens...it's about inclusive growth. There should be room for Urban poor in the form of affordable housing, employment generation etc. Emphasis should also be given to good governance and citizens consultation. In short a smart city would be a Green, Clean, Safe and Livable city.

All kinds for means communication and transport like railways, airway, tele-communication and internet facilities should be provided in our smarty city. our smart city government should run in e-governance system. Living conditions to the people should be provided properly like regular water supply, electricity and houses for government service. Lastly I would like that my pasighat, our pasighat should be planned as green city, educational centre city, well organized.

our smart city, pasighat should planned in such a way that, the local people should be given the first priority to uplift itself from poverty. pasighat being an oldest administrative centre in state is lacking in the educational field. we should first think of educational learning centre like medical college, university for master students of various educational field and other educational learning institute.highly quality education for the rising youyth should be their first step for smart city
