We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Some of the most important factors that needs to be dealt with to make pasighat a Smart City is sewage management, drainage system, proper building regulations, emergency response system including better emergency life support availability in all hospitals, more efficient management of traffic and better and more efficient public transport system to reduce private vehicles..

We need to grow and expand our minds as well as our city. The city is too tight and over occupied and at noon for a vehicle owner it is almost unbearable with the traffic and dense crowd. Renovation of Schools and Government Buildings to a remote area or on the outside boundary of the city will definitely help in this situation and further more expand the city in different variations. BTW a cheaper internet facility and introduction of mobile application is much required for easy access

Since Pasighat is oldest city in arunachal Pradesh needs to be recognized with provisioning of modern felicities. In communication point of view, one can access to pasighat by means of air, river and land transport. Best place in arunachal. So, making it an educational hub will greatly benefited not only to north east people bu whole of country.

Introduction of alternative renewable power supply like solar and wind energy would seem like a viable option (apart from many) for the development of pasighat smart city. Abundant clean water and power supply are the basic necessities for any developed cities/countries. Although proper supply of clean water could be compromised to some extent.pasighat seem to be lacking Big time on proper power supply at the moment.
