We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

I want to share a very important issue please read it. This issue is related to cleaning of drains. Every year government passes money for delisting of drains but problem is not solved that is as same as rain comes every year and flooded condition occur. This can be solved by using machines but in the modern scenario that work is done by labor which is not good for their health.

pasighat that blooms on the lap of nature’s beauty. Apart from all the other city we must have a unique identity of ourself. Pasighat is blessed with nature’s beauty.we must make it as a tool that will segregate it from the rest.other city may be more populated and logically more economically blessed, but we must creat and take opportunity in more effective way.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralized and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner.

Smart city mission which the new government initiated and thus we got chance to make our dream city into reality. Though empowering local government and transforming the city under this is a welcoming step but it has its own challenges associated with in reaching people aspiration and expectation.
