We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

The followings may be few suggestive measures for a smart and clean city: 1. Street washing before sweeping; 2. Use Bio-disposers to dispose kitchen / bio-degradable waste directly to sewer network. 3. Areas without sewer network may be provided with Bio-digesters for tackling bio-degradable waste. 4. Manage all type of Solid Waste separately without co-mingling for efficient reuse / recycling. & 5. Prefer to provide decentralised sanitation facilities, community managed & self sustainable.

We all know that Pasighat have huge talented hard working and youth man power as compared to other countries but I think that these Indian youths don't get proper opportunities and moral support to prove them self and to improve there skills so they prefer to migrate to foreign countries where they get recognition and best opportunities to flourish them self and to increase there skills

At present, in arunachal Pradesh as a whole and in pasighat, in particular, there is unproportionate possession of land many rich and high profile people. In my city of drams, the government should formulate a rule in which there will be a limit for possession of land property, irrespective of how rich a person may be, for the greater interest of common people.

Pasighat being situated by the bank of mighty siang, experience blowing of high intensity air during winter, making little bit of uncomfortabilityfor the citizen. But on the positive side, this can be effective used for harnessing of wind energy by setting up of wind mills, this way, it will proved to be a boon forth citizen in the field of renewable source of energy.

To unleash the tremendous potential young Pasighat possess we need to forthwith update our education system and get rid of those who are comfortably enjoying their lofty sinecure as framers of our education policy. That will change our fossilised institutions and allow bright talent to shine. That will change the managers who run our industries by making them more creative and less servile to the past. That will change Pasighat.

We must strive to be a smart citizen. We must cultivate and borrow the good ideas and positive attitude from each other.basic civil sense need to play a very important role in our society from now. Blaming the government and its administration shall not only increase our anxiety but also lead us to a unsolved state. As an old saying “a clap does not sound with a single hand”like wise a government also cannot be run by few big names. We all need to participate and cooperate with a change.

The city of Pasighat requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
