We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Representatives of the public should act and create more awareness among the public. It has to be a cohesive effort. The public in turn should participate and support the proposal as we are the ones who will benefit directly from the outcome. More such programmes should be aired for public awareness.

Good to hear that residents of other districts are also supporting the cause of the smart city proposal. Also nice to hear that, pasighat is currently on 6th position out of the 23 cities for fast track city. Consultations with citizen are required for their active participation. Even common senior citizens should be invited in AIR talk programmes and their views shared.

I had a glance through all the views written above and I too agree to the fact that India's got skilled manpower, but is not being used to the fullest. And yes in our country we are educated and thought not in a very practical manner, theory is given prior importance. Politics in India is a thrash!

with e-governance one thing what I find in the discussion very important about the drainage system of whole Pasighat and specially Pasighat Market area. Pasighat Market during rainy season is just a lake where mosquitoes along with many water born diseases flourish. So the drainage system has to be considered as one the important factor with 1st priority

We should bring E-governance in the proposal of Smart City has been incorporated with Smart City proposal only after consultation with the Citizen of Pasighat. During that period only the People of Pasighat had decided to have e-governance in our proposal. So, I would like to ask the MoUD to consider this in our proposal as this is our demand we asked our planner to incorporate in the Smart City Proposal.
