We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

1. We need to find a mechanism by which we can keep our city clean and green. In the name of development trees in the residential are cut down at a very rapid rate. For construction of concrete building how many tress are being cut down. The district or municipal has no idea how to stop or they cannot stop it either. Each and every tree whether it is in public or private land should be property of Municipal and any damage to it should be penalized.

In- experience was one of the main reasons for stagnancy under the tourism sector not only in pasighat but also the whole of Arunachal Pradesh . bad connectivity was another factor. But pasighat being located at the foothills has considerably improved its connectivity. With its proximity with neighbour Assam and introduction of Railways is going to boost the tourism in the locality. Many hotels have also been built with the increase in population which can cater to the visitors.

And moreover to some extent it is true Pasighat teaching is Theory-Based. Teachers should try to eradicate fear phobia from students, this hide the skills of the person. In one of the seminar Yandamuri who is a Famous Psychologist said Indians have talent but fear to express, but Foreigners are dare to express but lack of knowledge.

And mostly Pasighat attitude should be changed because we will not listen to others. I had my personal experience at my Education I used to express some views My madams refused to hear my words because I'm student. Should leave such attitude motivation plays a major role to develop their skills.

A total Adi programme ( local dialect) on smart city mission should be broadcasted. This will not only help the uneducated but also the aged ones who neither understand English nor Hindi. They have heard about smart city mission but haven’t understood real concept of it and how far reaching the effect will be if implemented.
