We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Some of the pasighat oral historians claim that when Noel Williamson came here, he met one ‘Komli’ of ‘Regon’ clan who was rafting ‘Suppi’ (a country boat) on Siang River (present Komlighat) .While interacting, he informed his name was Komli Regon and belonged to ‘PASI’ near the Ghat (River yard) and later KOMLI REGON’ was named as Komlighat and the place as Pasighat.

However, there is no proper waste management system in JN College, Campus. Thanks to the NSS Unit J N College, Pasighat for maintaining cleanness in the campus and around. However the municipal should take care of it. NSS Boys and Girls cannot do it during exam times. In a year I had seen the municipal Garbage Disposal Van only twice or thrice not more that.

First of all,I think the peoples mentality should change. I rally want the peoples mentality to be more advanced. There should be better education facilities for everyone and that too at prices,So,that the poor people can afford it. Their should be 24 hrs electricity supply, better transportation and communication should be there. So,I am just wishing for Pasighat to became a Smart City soon
