As a well-trained HAND surgeon, over the last 20 + years I have gone to rural parts of the country and surgically treated various crippling deformities of the hand caused by burns and birth deformities supported by plastic surgeons who look after facial deformities. Each well-organized free camp caters to about 100 patients over 2 days. We have successfully treated more than 5000 patients absolutely free. This is a minuscule number and the problem is massive. May I draw the attention of the organizations looking for CSR activity to consider these deformity correction camps in their areas? I invite you Sir to participate in one of these camps and see how efficiently a camp is conducted at a fraction of the cost by a well-meaning team of devoted surgeons and volunteers in optimum setup . Your participation will inspire many to carry out deformity correctional camps. All patients are photographed. Money comes from donors and they handle the funds as well to maintain transparency.
