I sincerely feel that your Mann ki Baat on 27 Mar 2022 must feature our government's concern and an action plan to stop illegal sand mining. As you must be aware, Sir, apart from the disastrous consequences of the use of fertilizers and pesticides for the agricultural soil, illegal sand mining from river beds, especially of the perennial rivers like Ganga and Yamuna, is much more dangerous for the top soil.Scientists say it takes a thousand years for nature to enrich a few inches of the top soil to enable sustainable agriculture.But the persistent illegal sand mining is undoing it all quickly. To see the devastation being done,one must visit Yamuna river bed near Kabulpur Khadar,Faridabad, and adjoining Motipur, Greater Noida (splinter land of Motipur across Yamuna on Faridabad side). It is heard the Manjhawali Bridge is facing NGT issues of no soil mining in a radius of 5 km of the river bed, getting soil to shore up the base of the bridge structure, but illegal sand mining goes on.

Dear Sir, A idea just came into my mind. Sir India is focusing more in increasing export. It is good. India should also focus on reducing import. We can reduce import by promoting inter state trade. e.g.: why to buy chinese toys, when karnataka or tamilnadu region akso providing same quality toys. Why to buy chinese candle when one of our state can fulfill all demands. Why to buy chines electronics when same can be produced by one of our state. The way central govt agencies collaborating with privative companies.. They also can collaborate with any states for production of high technology defense equipment. It will also generate employment. It will also reduce import and export difference. The way Govt. releasing list defense items to be procured only in India. Similar way India should focus on Toy, candles, electronic goods.
