Also request you to reduce the minimum charge for current reservation. In the current scenario if anybody wants to travel 50 KM they need to pay the rate for a minimum distance of 200 KM. If you can reduce the minimum charge for current reservation then more people can use those vacant seats. Especially the vacant seat available in 3AC can be utilized if the distance for minimum charge is reduced for current reservation. I feel that in most of the trains a lot of seats are vacant which can be used effectively. Currently RAC tickets are allotted by the TTE. Why can't you update the software to issue the RAC tickets online. Since the TTE is having HHT they need to update the details of vacant seats through the HHT so that the RAC passenger will get an update on the seat allotted. This will avoid the involvement of TTE in allotting the vacant seat to the RAC ticket holder.

I am a regular traveler and I feel that some of the updates mentioned below will help Indian Railway as well as the passengers. Currently once the train is started it is unable to reserve any ticket. Current reservation is also not possible to some extent once the chart is prepared. Since the TTE is having Hand Held Terminals, why can you offer the passenger to take the tickets 30 minutes before the train departure from a station. So that vacant seat can be sold to someone who requires a confirmed ticket even after the train departs. Lot of people are not able to travel because of not having a confirmed ticket. Railways can also ensure that all the seats are used effectively.

I along with thousands of other affordable home buyers want to highlight one point to your mind that in the name of Affordable Housing Scheme, most of the builders are misusing the guidelines & that too the government authorities are aware of all these issues and NOT at all serious taking up these concerns of customer. I have booked a flat at Green Court Project at Sec 90, Gurgaon, Haryana & the builder is charging undue charges which is not part of the Affordable policy & also forcing us to take Fit Out possession. We raised our concerns to government authorities however they are supporting the builder and not taking any appropriate action. We would humble request you to take this issue as 1st priority and address as many of the buyers are facing these challenges in some way and don't have option to survive. It is the problem for country and appreciate your interfere on the same.

Today, 24th August, is the book release day for Children of War Anthology, which includes my short story The Prince and the Flute Player, based on ancient Indian legends.
