City's Municipal Corporation should first form 'Communication Committee' consisting corporator, officer, bsnl & private operator, NGO. Due to this first move, 'communication' will get due importance. Committee will look into how to strengthen city's connectivity in effective and affordable manner. I am from Pimpri Chinchwad (adjacent to Pune) where we are currently working on same initiative. Check more details about our effort in attached file.

#1:Speed point of view Replace Fiber Optic Inter-Repeater Link (FOIRL) segment into the 10BaseFL segment. The 10BaseFL standard resolved shortcoming of FOIRL and designed to inter-operate with existing FOIRL-based equipment. It becomes more efficient and cost saving. #2:Infrastructure point of view All the Internet/mobile/TV service providers will have their own optical fiber network and these networks should be shared among different vendors. To build an strong research community

A team of researchers working through Australia’s Centre for Ultrahigh Bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS) has developed data encoding technology that increases the efficiency of existing fiber optic cable networks. The researchers claim their invention increases the data capacity of optical networks to the point that all of the world’s internet traffic could be transmitted via a single fiber. lastly I think providing the internet through the DTH service easily spread across IND.

Lay submarine cable from Bay of Bangal to Arabian sea to connect three coastal Metros, Andaman, Lakshadweep or any other city near Sea. For Land, Ask scientist/engineer to design machine that can dig up land, lay cable and fill in pit. You can also make small machine like tunnel boring machine. Also give tax benefit to OFC manifacture, OFC Drawing machine etc. While calculating capacity of cable, keep in mind bandwidth required for next 30 to 50 years and redundancy.

electricity is covered mostly every house in India so every household have current. We can utilize these current companies. They can provide high speed networks in India with the help of their infrastructure. Rail tel had optical fibre network and bandwidth, it will help create new high speed networks also.

A different kind of Internet and TV. Google fibre -At up to 1,000 Mbps, Google Fiber is 100 times faster than today's basic broadband, allowing you to get what you want instantaneously. You no longer have to wait on things buffering; everything will be ready to go when you are. So whether you are video chatting, uploading family videos, or online games, all you need to do is click and you're there. I checked it on internet it's quite expensive and only American government has invested in.

1.Congested routes should be identified and upgraded as it would translate to revenue which can then fuel the next expansion. 2. We need to find out reasons of dark fiber where the ducting which had been done already ? This would prevent reinventing the wheel. Attempt should be made to do use it as it would be less expensive and the partial investment made will not go waste. 3.All infra projects road, rail,& canals should have trenches for laying fiber. This is a major cost if done later.

Large plants in the oil and gas sector generally invest in optical fiber connectivity infrastructure. Government should invite such large industries in the hinterland to share costs of installing such infrastructure. The incremental cost of putting in additional fibre threads above what is required by the industries is minimal. Such public private partnershp will bring the fibre networks to areas where it is not commercially feasible for ISPs to do so.

Optical Fibre-OF 1)Most important is to reduce the cost of laying OF.This will enable home user getting OF as well. 2)Wherever dial-up or broadband internet connection has gone, that existing network can be reused for optical. 3)Give incentives to internet providers to spread OF. 4)If last mile access is not possible, then at least make the backbone OF to remote areas. 5)Spread high-speed wireless internet and use the help of Telcos.6)Create BSNL public wifi hotspots for internet growth.
