By digitalizing India, the best positive impact would be reduced corruption. There are a numerous ways of doing this. With my personal experience from Singapore and Australia, what I have seen is that, most of the monetary transactions are done digitally for e.g the road toll collection, the i-banking systems, government related tasks as much as possible done online. By doing this, we reduce the flow of physical money as well as there is less human self interaction, which reduces CORRUPTION!

India has to replicate the best practices in insisting the release of information, and learning material created in government funded projects as Open Educational Resources with open content license. These material are chiefly digital. This is now strong in many countries including USA. Please see one online registry of such policies ( https://wiki.creativecommons.org/OER_Policy_Registry) This is quite essential for prospering as a Knowledge Economy. It will also avoid wastage of resources.

Why can't local government services be provided in the native language of the citizen across India? This strengthens India better. Our Constitution provides space for different languages and people to co-exist. By making Indians roam freely across the country without fear or favor, the country only becomes stronger. Today's technology allows such achievements with ease and Central Government should allow such states to develop faster than any other by providing incentives.

Implementation of Digital Library in Management of Land Records is a good practice. All Land records should be digitized and categorized based on Type (Commercial, Residential, Farm), Area, Region. http://archives.lib.state.ma.us/ - This is a Massachusetts State Repository based on Dspace. This will help in cutting down Red Tape since time will not be lost in finding land records, stop cheating (people selling other's land to novices) etc. I can help implement Dspace software.

Thus the cars are able to pass at their normal speed without the need to stop for punching their toll cards or cash payment and traffic flow is not disturbed. This solves the true purpose of toll gate as well as avoids incidents where people cross the toll gate without paying for toll. Cars without Salik cards or with insufficient balance are fined and the challan is sent to registered address of the car owner.

Another issue is of traffic clogging at the toll booths where the whole purpose of toll bridge is defeated with reduced speed. In UAE, it is mandatory for every vehicle to stick a card with exclusive number on their vehicle (Salik Card) for which the drivers have to recharge regularly, just like their mobile prepaid card. The toll booths are installed with detectors which automatically communicate with vehicle Salik Card antenna & deduct toll from account associated with that Salik card (1/n)

It is upto the drivers to regularly check their challan in database by calling toll free police IVR and entering their vehicle number to check their challans generated, if any. Payments are supposed to be made online in order to reduce direct transactions between drivers and officials. (3/3)

In addition to that, it reduces chances of corruption through on the spot cash transaction as the challan is recorded automatically in the database through CCTV integration. For cases where an official will have to generate a challan, a simple mobile app which can be run on any basic smartphone provided to the constable will directly record the challan to database thus reducing time for challan generation process. As Mr. Modi has stressed constantly on Digitising India, I would like to start with problems related to specific sectors and then taking on one by one. In UAE, Implementation of IT (CCTV) for traffic challan such as over-speeding, without helmet drive are recorded automatically by CCTV and challan information is either communicated through mobile phone or delivered at registered address of the car owner. Thus, reducing burden on traffic constable as well as his role in challan formation (1/2)
