There is a area called Kavdi, in pune where we found around 85 species of migratory birds in season. But as there is no education to the locals about the importance of these migratory birds, local people has made that river a dumping yard. Addition to this there is a chemical factory besides the river which is polluting the river consistently and causing the risk to cycle of the environment. We have plans for cleaning the river and for the education of the locals, but we need monitory support.

With the rapid urbanisation, reptiles are becoming homeless & endangered. Our NGO C.R.E.W. rescues those reptiles which sneak into human settlements by mistake. We have rescued hundreds of such reptiles from Vasai-Virar region in over 4 years. As per the guidance of Forest Officers these are released in Tugareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Vasai. Better & more friendly policies are needed for reptiles & smaller wildlife to preserve & provide healthy habitats by way of Nature Parks/Reserves, Zoos etc
