The Jhansi Municipal Corporation is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with 98 other cities to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

In this context, the Jhansi Municipal Corporation is in the process of preparing the Smart City Proposal. Jhansi Municipal Corporation seeks valuable suggestions of the citizens to formulate the Essay for the Smart City Jhansi.

A strategic essay shapes a preferred future for a city. A successful essay has economic, spatial, social and environmental dimensions that reflect a city’s unique physical and cultural traits; it provides direction for the activities of the Corporation, citizens and stakeholders; and ensures that citizens, city agencies, and stakeholders are working towards those shared sub-goals. The Essay should inspire our city’s residents and can even become the branding for our smart city.

Terms and Conditions

1. Maximum word limit 1000 words
2. All the Essays must be submitted in .pdf(PDF) or .jpg(JPEG)
3. Citizens can submit Essay in “English”, “Hindi”
4. A statement outlining the essay for what we would want Jhansi to be as a smart city. It should be a positive statement.
5. The essay should be unique and futuristic based on inherent elements of the city.
6. The essay should clearly portray the elements in context of Jhansi city only.
7. This competition is open for all
8. The best 3 Vision Statements would be declared as winners.

• First prize – Rs. 5100
• Second prize – Rs. 2100
• Third prize – Rs. 1100

9. All the Participate will receive Participation Certificate.
10. The last date to submit your entries is 25th November, 2015.

How to Submit

All the entries must be submitted online through https://mygov.in.

NOTE: If Participant have unable to submit essay online. They can visit & submit online in“VISION CENTER SMART CITY, Municipal Corporation Jhansi or call Rakesh Kumar Sahu 08808053895

1. All participants must clearly mention following details in their entries:

• Name
• Father’s Name
• Address
• Age
• Contact number (with area code)

2. The winner will be chosen on the basis of simplicity of thought, realism in ideas, and originality in content.

3. The decision of Municipal Corporation Jhansi on selection of top three winners and consolation prize winners shall be final.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products.

To make it easy I think time has come to think of all important, materials consumed by Human in day to day life within a city, be it for personal or for commercial purpose should come through in DRINKING WATER TRUNK WAY,SOLAR ELECTRICITY TRUNK WAY, RAPID TRANSPORT TRUNK WAY, ALL BELOW THE GROUND, WHICH WILL REDUCE POLLUTION'S. WE CAN DO CERTAIN ACTIVITY, BELOW THE GROUND I.E UNDER GROUND, SO THAT POLLUTION DOSEN'T COME ON THE FLOOR OF THE WORLD. pOLLUTION TREATED IN UNDER GROUND.

My vision IF HUMANITIES HAS TO SURVIVE THEN HUMAN HAS TO MEND AND CHANGE HABITS. HUMAN DID NEVER FELT SO MUCH DANGER, EVEN IF IT HAD ITS CIVILIZATION RIGHT ON TOP OF THE VOLCANOES, EARTH QUAKE. BUT BECAUSE OF POLLUTION NOW IT IS FELT THAT CIVILIZATION WILL VANISH DUE TO MASS DESTRUCTION OF MOTHER NATURE. SO IN THIS CONTEXT WE HAVE TO GO FOR ALL E ENEG

Jhansi, a city of immense historic importance. A city known for the bravest queen of the Indian history Maharani Lakshmi Bai. Although after this we lack our want of modernization. What we want primarily are the basic amenities like proper sewerages, street lighting,water supply,power supply through solar power plants etc. Along with this we also require waste management around the city&facilities like public Ac/ non Ac buses instead of autos.Roads with dividers and recreational elements- malls.

Smart city ek aisa naam jaha pr every one person, work, sb smart tarike se ho.. . Ek aisi city jisme environment ko apna family member samjha gya ho. Meri apki apni hum sabki jhansi ko smart banane k liye firstly evryne person ko smart hona hoga tbhi jhansi smart bn payegi or agr smart city bnne se yaha pr tourism me v grown hoga or jo birojgaar hai unko v rojgaar k raste khulenge and foreign companies v city me investment karengi jisse yaha k logo ko out of jhansi rojgaar k liye ni jana hoga
