Cellulose Kitchen Sponge One thing I particularly enjoy is when eco-friendly products are as similar in look and functionality as plastic ones. Just like the yellow, soft sponges I discovered lately, that are made of cellulose.  Cellulose is an organic compound that makes up the walls of plants. Cellulose fibres are amazing biodegradable materials as they are made with plant based materials – such as cotton and wood pulp among others.  So they can simply breakdown in your compost bin without creating any pollution or waste

Cotton bags maintain the right bread’s moisture levels: too much moisture loss, through absorption by paper bags for example, or exposure to too much air in a bread tin, causes the bread to dry out. This is what turns a crispy crust soft.  And these bags can also be used to store fruit and vegetables.

Reusable Bamboo Coffee Cup  Do you, like me, tend to make your coffee but then get busy with all sorts of things and end up with a cold cup of coffee (or tea) most of the time? Using an insulated coffee mug is the best solution for this, and it's great for takeaway coffees too to avoid disposable coffee cups. There are a lot of coffee mugs on the market now all claiming to be sustainable, however some of them are made with materials that re not exactly eco-friendly, so choosing a stainless steel one with bamboo casing is a much better and sustainable option.

Cotton Kitchen Sponge Cotton sponges are the perfect eco-friendly alternative to plastic kitchen sponges, they are made with GOTS certified cotton (organic and grown without the use of pesticides), jute fabric and bamboo filling.  The organic cotton side, is perfect for more delicate crockery, or to wipe kitchen counters, tables and smooth surfaces while the sturdy jute side is a great substitute for a brillo sponge

Bamboo Toothbrush Each day, several times a day: billions of us are united daily by the common routine of brushing our teeth. A simple, unassuming ritual that we barely ever think may have any impact outside our homes.Yet it is estimated that in the UK alone, more than 250 million toothbrushes are used every year. That’s why changing to bamboo toothbrushes can stop all millions of plastic toothbrushes ending in landfills.

Alat is building a new industrial and electronics hub from scratch and its ambition is to build it inherently sustainable from the very beginning – without the drawbacks that come from legacy infrastructure. For a better tomorrow, Alat is going to heavily rely on AI and Industry 4.0 to bring efficiencies, new thinking, and new approaches to constantly drive sustainability at the core of everything it does, advancing not only the technology products manufactured, but also the way they are manufactured. This includes deploying sustainable manufacturing, using AI to improve efficiency in production, applying sustainability measures to the supply chain, and utilizing smart building and smart factories, with a committed focus on sustainability.

The best place to sell eco-friendly products is on your own Shopify store. That way you can maintain full control over the look and feel of your brand’s online presence, and own the audience that you build. But you can also adopt a multichannel approach, choosing to sell simultaneously on marketplaces like Amazon

As the global awareness of the impact of climate change increases, many are looking to do their part to reverse or slow the damage. Incremental lifestyle changes, like buying sustainable versions of everyday products, can help people feel like they’re making responsible choices. Many also buy from sustainable brands because they believe in supporting ethical production and fair wages, or they align with a charitable brand’s cause.

Consumers are increasingly showing an interest in sustainable companies and products. While there are a number of factors that affect why a product sells better than another, an eco-friendly product will attract conscious consumers. And, as interest grows in minimizing personal impact, sustainably minded companies have a better chance at having staying power.
