While each smart city will have distinctive features specific to its location, demography, culture and other such factors, there maybe smart solutions to problems which are common to all cities. This contest seeks to identify such smart and innovative solutions to common problems. All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. Questions 1. Out of the following 21 smart solutions, select 3 solutions that should be applied to all Indian cities and provide a brief write-up (max. 50 words) to explain why. 2. Describe a ‘smart’ idea that you have seen in some other city(anywhere in the world) that you would like to see replicated in your own city. ‘Smart idea’ means doing more with less. 3. Describe 3 ways that Indian cities can reduce the gap between rich and poor. 4. List out 5 essential facts about your local municipal corporation that should be available to all citizens. Entry Deadline • Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015. Evaluation The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: • Do-ability (50%) • Innovation (50%) Award Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts: • Rs. 40,000 - First PrizeRs. 25,000 - Second Prize The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot • All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. • The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only. • The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less. My sincere suggestion is to get the advise from globally renowned architects/ town planners rather than from amatures. We are not affordable for trial & errors. Pls we have to TV hink of world class standard.

-There should be a standard road structure, with variations like for a highway, a standard wide enough roads with proper markings, lanes for only left and right turns, high divider. Walkways on both side of the roads. - There should be no/very less exposed soil. Land should covered either with growing grass/hay which doesn't let soil/dust to get exposed and fly in the air

12-water management-make it compulsory to have a rain water harvesting pit for every home and apt this way the water level is maintained.build roads in such a way they have a slope to the footpath,has meshed drains so that only rain waster can be collected and sent to nearby river 14-renewable energy-create a rule that every house or apt should have solar panels on the rooftops 16-smart parking-every busy center should have one large 10 floor building these occupy less space & more parking

Smart city features: 1)Smart city should have tall & earthquake resistance buildings whose outer surface is solar plated provided with free WI-FI & building should also green plants on their terrace. 2)Lane(road) for DTC buses,for private vehicles,for motor bicycle should be differnt.So that every one reaches his destination in small time.& metro is also provided.Static footpath made which give electricity. 3)School teachers should professionals & sport complex should be made. 4)Gowshala

1. Allow the Bazaar concept which is indigenous to India by creating marketplaces where the streets become "pedestrian only" during peak hours. Put electric bollards to enforce this. 2. Goods delivery to the store fronts at these locations should be restricted to after 10 pm. 3. Provide large public parks. Beyond providing lungs for cities, public parks remove the class + income divide that is deepening in our cities. 4. Create large community centers that can be accessed by everyone at a fee

Promote Urban Horticulture Cooperatives. Many Indian Women and Elderly People are interested in Horticulture, especially in Urban India. Horticulture Cooperatives in Urban India focussing on Flowers, Vegetables, Herbal Plants and Medicinal Plants. #-Promote Good Quality Education and Digital Libraries at Government Schools. #Regulate Liquor Shops and their sales near Slums #Provide Good Quality Healthcare in Industrial Areas

#MySmartCity Schools and Colleges updated with. live Video conferences function and facilities. Suppose if any students can not attend their lectures due to not well, or any other problem. but with Video facility he/she can attend that lectures from home through video conferencing. Even in colleges and schools should recorded that lectures video. and students can watch it later #SmartCity #India

People can talk live with Municipal officer through Video Chat. Citizen use Electronics dustbin's so that Its automatically converted in ashes and not dust flying
