While each smart city will have distinctive features specific to its location, demography, culture and other such factors, there maybe smart solutions to problems which are common to all cities. This contest seeks to identify such smart and innovative solutions to common problems. All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. Questions 1. Out of the following 21 smart solutions, select 3 solutions that should be applied to all Indian cities and provide a brief write-up (max. 50 words) to explain why. 2. Describe a ‘smart’ idea that you have seen in some other city(anywhere in the world) that you would like to see replicated in your own city. ‘Smart idea’ means doing more with less. 3. Describe 3 ways that Indian cities can reduce the gap between rich and poor. 4. List out 5 essential facts about your local municipal corporation that should be available to all citizens. Entry Deadline • Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015. Evaluation The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: • Do-ability (50%) • Innovation (50%) Award Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts: • Rs. 40,000 - First PrizeRs. 25,000 - Second Prize The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot • All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. • The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only. • The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less. All the city's villages corporations streets works like a pland eb cables pone cables Internet cables coking gas line drinking water line drinage line rain water line works are at the same time working at the edge of the road this is the best way to go to the way india raiseing

Waste dispisal is the main problem in all major and minor cities so provide waste disposal plants in all major towns,and proper drainage systems needed in all main towns .make a strict rule for making waste disposal plants.

Use of dustbins in all the streets so that people will start throwing the waste in to he dustbin as part of swacha bharath this is a bset solution to keep the city clean and green. monthly tree plantation programme should be held as a part of clean india. Imposing fine if waste is thrown on the roads or near by areas with out using dustbins. proper street lights every where in order to avoid theft and for saftey and security. building atleat 2 to 3 parks for each town.

Very fundamental necessity for every city is to be clean and our hon. PM have kicked up cleanliness drive in entire country but unfortunately its effect is not on ground because there is lack of resources to the municipalities . For cleanliness very first the number of workers should be available as per the population, atleast 1 to the population of 500 people, second some technologies shoud be adopted for clwanliness and third rhere should be proper mechanism of garbage disposal.

Roads with standard design for drainage,power cable, drinking water,platform heght across all cities. pipelines on either sides of the road will avoid damage to the road while giving new connections to the individual buildings

Answer 1-City's eyes and year-increase in awareness,proper distribution,Better Administration. Intelligent traffic management-Road accidents to decline,speedy delivery. Waste water treatment-Water conservation, access to safe drinking water.2 SMART IDEA-

If smart cards are difficult, even than city government office can be made paperless office. They can make their own website, where people can access and enter their details and request for any kind of certificate or approval on documents. Using this bribe in government office can be controlled. Respective certificate or files can be sent by post or they can personally collect whichever they prefer. This will be helpful for common man who goes to office.

Intelligent Traffic Management: 1.Providing the public transportation on priority in Road Transportation, such as accessibliliy of Separate Lane in working hours to only Public Transport System. 2.Providing Signals & Indications for Commuters travelling on Pathways would not only reduce the traffic, but also prevent accidents 3.Electronic Toll Collection aims to eliminate delay on Toll Roads by collecting electronically. 4.Use of rental Bicycles in cities to minimize the CO2 emissions.
