Department of Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India seeks entries for designing a suitable Logo and Tagline for Biometric Attendance System.
As part of the “Digital India” programme of Government of India, it has decided to implement common Biometric Attendance System (BAS) in the Central Government Offices (Agencies) located in Delhi to begin with. The proposed system would enable an employee to register attendance by presenting his/her biometric (finger print/Iris) which will be authenticated online by doing one to one match with the bio-metric stored in the UIDAI data centre against the employee’s Aadhaar number. DEITY has been assigned the nodal responsibility to ensure its effective implementation.
More details on the current status of implementation of the bio-metric attendance project can be seen at the attendance.gov.in
Department of Information Technology (DEITY), with aim to get people’s participation for suggesting a suitable logo and tagline for Bio-metric Attendance System (BAS) invites entries in MyGov.
The last date of submission is 15th October, 2014.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

tagline- "जन अभिज्ञान जन अभिमान" (abhimaan here is pride for one's identity) logo designed on corel draw, interpretation-QUESTION MARK-identity, MAGNIFIER searches for authenticity FINGERPRINT+ EYE-biometric measure, also resembles MIRROR which implies abhigyaan or recognition, colors match in the peacock shaped TICK means it is the same person as in the mirror, i.e. his identity is verified and his SMILE shows sense of pride for his identity

TAGLINE - Every hand counts to nation building . .IN HINDI -- हर हाथ राष्ट्र निर्माण के लिए मायने रखता है... . Explanation- since introdution of BAS in office is for making work and people punctual AND to provide FASTRACK for slow process government works.... for this contribution of every one is necessary...thats why LOGO is made by HANDS showing name of system BAS. and the tagline shows the responsibities of citizens.
