In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister to build the nation from the villages, the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) aims to converge all programmes of Government and combine the same with the MPLAD funds in order to create model villages.

Under this, a few villages will be identified in each District for provision of all basic services and amenities such as – drinking water, sanitation, solid/liquid waste management, housing, connectivity, internal roads and street lighting, on a saturation approach. All these villages will also be open defecation free and will be models of good governance.

Department of Rural Development, with aim to get peoples’ participation for suggesting a suitable Logo for SAGY, invites entries in MyGov portal.

The last date of submission is 30th September, 2014

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.25,000/-

This logo depicts the holistic approach of SAGY aimed at creating model villages by providing better road connectivity, sanitaion, housing, drinking water and power supply to numerous backward villages in India. It shows how all these factors come together to improve the standard of living of the people in these villages.

This logo depicts the aim of SAGY to bring better road connectivity, sanitaion, housing, drinking water and power supply to numerous backward villages in India and turn them into model villages. This in turn improves the standard of living of the people in these villages.

MY LOGO IDEA HAS FOLLOWING IDEAS: I HAVE SHOWN 545 MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT AS THE SCHEME IS FOR SAANSAD'S. THE MEMBERS FORM UPPER HALF OF THE "S"(S FOR SAANSAD ). THE LOWER HALF OF THE " S" IS MADE IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT FORMS A ROAD THAT REPRENT HOW THE UPPER HALF(SAANSADS) AND LOWER HALF (ROAD MEANING OUTER INDIA) IS CONNECTED .I HAVE ALSO SHOWN A SAFFRON DOT THAT FORM COMMON MEN WITH THE UPPER HALF. AT BOTTON I MADE THE SHORT FORM "SAGY". VANDE MATERAM.
