During the Rashtriya Ekta Divas address on 31st October, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced that the Government of India proposes to launch a new initiative called ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. The programme aims to give a boost to the existing cultural connect between different parts of the country and enhance interaction between people living in different states.

Conceptually, the idea is that each year one state should connect to any other state in India on a reciprocal basis. As the Prime Minister himself explained through an example in his speech, "Haryana as a state can decide to connect with Tamil Nadu for the year 2016 and the activities that Haryana state can undertake may include popularizing the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu in Haryana through song festivals, book festivals, literary events, food festivals, tours of people of Haryana to Tamil Nadu and vice versa. In the year 2017, Haryana would connect to any other state and in 2018 to another state and so on".

The knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between each other thereby strengthening the unity and and integrity of India. We believe that such an initiative to connect people-to-people should be implemented with inputs from the citizens of India.

With this view, MyGov introduces the ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ contest. Citizens are invited to submit their ideas and suggestions on how the programme should be structured so as to encapsulate its true spirit in all its various dimensions and capture the diversity that characterises India.

While the citizens are free to submit their ideas in kernel format, they can also expand in detail on the themes and sub-themes. Citizens may consider the following general themes on which to base their ideas, while submitting their entries. These themes are only indicative and participants are free to include any other points they deem appropriate.

1. Identifying role of central government and state governments in implementing the programme
2. Identifying the manner in which the governments, civil society and private sector can work together.
3. Specifying the Use of modern communication tools, including social media.
4. Documentation of success stories.
5. Making 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' a people's movement rather than a government programme.

Participants are encouraged to submit original and innovative ideas. An idea, merely rich in detail but lacking originality, would not score more than a very innovative idea explained briefly. However, if a very innovative idea is also explained in detail, it will naturally score higher.

Participants may submit their entries as attached PDF documents while providing a summary of their proposals in the comment section.

The winners of the contest will be awarded a certificate by the Prime Minister, along with cash prizes as follows:

1. First Prize - Rs. 100,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 75,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 50,000/-

The last date for submission is 25th December, 2015.

Ak Bharat Shreshtra Bharat is system in which every citizen will be able to raise his opinions and quarries in which the country is run and it's policies and laws is made for the whole country. It can be achieved only through public participation and public voices. Technology should be utilized to make public opinion available on every Government offices and public demand v/s government decision must be posted online.

Rashtriya Ekta Divas is a great idea, and it will be successful only if people and political leaders can stop motivating aggressive acts or speeches against prople from different states. India is a huge constitution but laws could not stop politicians from giving hateful speeches. They motivate anti-bihari/bhaiya movements and gain benefits from this. There should be a law to restrict these leaders to lawful acts. Government takes away all the unity by letting such poor minded parties rule.

camps in schools or college festivals. If we do something in IITs or IIMs.. media and public will have attention. CM should talk about the culture which which we want to expose . take a stadium and start the mini state there for a month that should include all food stalls dance of their culture , dresses, all govt and corporate officials should visit the places. D.should conduct sessions or fests in corporate areas for corporate employs then reaching of content to public is more.

let the movies to be showed to other state people on their own language with subtitles or dubbed. Movies are the most influencing one. Culture: 1.Food 2.habits 3.Way of prayer to god 4.Dressing 5.health related things from olden era in that region or state.

Respected sir, I am from gugarat and I would like to share my idea about EX ARMY OR EX SERVICEMAN of Gujarat or same way india. After retired they have facing many problems.1they have no service 2.government gave agricultural land but some have or some have not and those who have a land of agricultural they have face many problems which is given by the govenment officer.sir if you give me chance to meet with you personally I would like to descuss more in this subject. Contd... As I have mentioned in my previous post, the 'Exchange Programme' can be extended to all Private sector & PSU offices / organisations.There is no harm if the Cashier at any SBI say at Kerala comes and works in say SBI, Tinsukia, Assam for 4 days in an year. This can thus be implemented in ALL institutions. Should be made MAndatory, ELSE, IT WILL NOT WORK in a country like ours.

The estimated difficulty levels in terms of acceptance of such a project will increase in the following fashion. (A) Lowest in Urban Haryana (B) Next comes Chennai (C) Rest of Chennai in TN (D) Rest of Urban Haryana. Now three kinds of Projects; (i) Arts and Entertainment - Hourly projects (2) Skills exchange in traditional & Value Added Production Projects in modern industries (Month/year long) (3) Hard longer term incentive projects like for farming related migrations (Life long). 3 > 2 > 1 :)

Implementing Medicinal Practices: Also we can reduce the consequences of Dengue by vaccinating the patients with Tamil Nadu Government’s invention “Nilavembu Kashayam". IN Tamil Nadu so many camps were setup & so many patients have been benifitted by this. WHy cant we try this to other states as well.
