During the Rashtriya Ekta Divas address on 31st October, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced that the Government of India proposes to launch a new initiative called ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. The programme aims to give a boost to the existing cultural connect between different parts of the country and enhance interaction between people living in different states.

Conceptually, the idea is that each year one state should connect to any other state in India on a reciprocal basis. As the Prime Minister himself explained through an example in his speech, "Haryana as a state can decide to connect with Tamil Nadu for the year 2016 and the activities that Haryana state can undertake may include popularizing the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu in Haryana through song festivals, book festivals, literary events, food festivals, tours of people of Haryana to Tamil Nadu and vice versa. In the year 2017, Haryana would connect to any other state and in 2018 to another state and so on".

The knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between each other thereby strengthening the unity and and integrity of India. We believe that such an initiative to connect people-to-people should be implemented with inputs from the citizens of India.

With this view, MyGov introduces the ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ contest. Citizens are invited to submit their ideas and suggestions on how the programme should be structured so as to encapsulate its true spirit in all its various dimensions and capture the diversity that characterises India.

While the citizens are free to submit their ideas in kernel format, they can also expand in detail on the themes and sub-themes. Citizens may consider the following general themes on which to base their ideas, while submitting their entries. These themes are only indicative and participants are free to include any other points they deem appropriate.

1. Identifying role of central government and state governments in implementing the programme
2. Identifying the manner in which the governments, civil society and private sector can work together.
3. Specifying the Use of modern communication tools, including social media.
4. Documentation of success stories.
5. Making 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' a people's movement rather than a government programme.

Participants are encouraged to submit original and innovative ideas. An idea, merely rich in detail but lacking originality, would not score more than a very innovative idea explained briefly. However, if a very innovative idea is also explained in detail, it will naturally score higher.

Participants may submit their entries as attached PDF documents while providing a summary of their proposals in the comment section.

The winners of the contest will be awarded a certificate by the Prime Minister, along with cash prizes as follows:

1. First Prize - Rs. 100,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 75,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 50,000/-

The last date for submission is 25th December, 2015.

India's impressive variety of history and culture, from the ancient Gangetic Kingdoms to the present state, harmoniously blend to form a unique atmosphere in over a million square kilometers of scenic sights. A continent-sized country, India possesses an amazing wealth of sights and sounds, tastes and textures.so ek Bharat shresth Bharat.

We must make use of social media by circulating videos containing dance and regional folk of different culture mixed together.These clips can also be shown in threatre instead of ad during intervals,As it is directly connect to youth.In rural area, a group of trained people from differen culture must be send to each village like program like googlesaathi.In this way, people will be entertained,and also get to know about distinct culture. In school ,every culture must be taught,as its our future

1. Made schools,collages,polytechnics.. Even government official also communicate to infrastructure development, can discuss about agricultural.. all standards through VSAT communication - schools to schools teleconferencing mode.(Weekly or day to day basis) discuss about subject(language, maths, science) topics. 2. Made android apps, every people through discussions. Every festivals times they can come here depends upon 3 months once. Like education tours to interstate. Every schools can

During my 5th Grade in school,we had to chose a third language out of Sanskrit, French and German.While this is good on an international platform but I feel we can rather have languages from other states as third language. Like students of Chennai can chose among Punjabi/Hindi.We sometimes feel alienated in different parts of our own country because we are unable to mingle with them on language and cultural basis.So, we can introduce intermingling of languages amongst students at an early stage.

I our schools/collgs students go for trip. Sir instead of sending there students to these trip. the schools of different state should conduct a student exchange program. Like for example:there is a school A in state x and school B in state Y they both agree to exchange their 50 student for 10 days in these 10 days the respective school wl take these student's for trip and make them aware of cuture. They participate cultural dance and test on last day of program awarding beststudent.

In order to create more awareness about our culture, we can have an exchange program like we have in abroad. Basically, it the the students who should be given the opportunities to know about the culture of our country through more of expeditions, school/college trips that focus on the culture of that particular place.Through more of interaction with people of different states that we can know about their culture, rituals, their perception about society etc. Thank you!

A division should be firmed under the legislative part as a dept of cleaning who should ne given 2 and 3 wheeler who would be collecting the waste with a targer these agencies should not be paid if they cannot acheve the collecion of waste along with external agenceies can be appointed for free disposal who will collect and dispose and keey the amount themselves but these can only work on industrial sector where they can atleast have chances for selling the scrap where as privatization is gud

Sir myself Ankit SHARMA from JNV E champaran Class XI PCM student My opinion to connect people culturally is that migration should be there for students There should be lessons of respecting other religion and culture.For uniunity we should mix up gov should develop Cultural programmes by organizing them in schools
