Feel there are different phases in which the technology could be brought into the field of agriculture. 1. Technical information about the land and climate. 2.methods of cultivation suitable for the land. 3. methods of irrigation. 4. Methods of harvesting. 5. storage 6. Marketing & finance Most of the above topics have been dealt with with various government scheme but we need to encourage direct contact between buyer and seller. the technology could play a vital tool.

2. please educate them with effects of using the overdose of fertilizers or steroids for better yields will harm the soil as well as leave residue in the yield. i had read in papers many a time agricultural products from India had been rejected showing the cause of these chemical residues. declaration of awards for farmers must not be on the basis of yield but on the basis of how effectively he/she uses the natural resources to the better effect. i got few more suggestions but no place.

Organize monthly webinars (online seminars) with farming experts and researchers that can be broadcasted live through national channels. Ask farmers for questions in advance and ask the experts to respond to them. Anyone with internet access or cable access can join/participate or view this webinar. The content can be translated in regional languages and hosted in the online database for farmers.

If we want to use technology to help our farmers, we should leverage the mobile devices most of the farmers have. Mobile should be considered the primary consumption device for these farmers. A farmer cares for good crop, prices, transport and best practices. For best practises & good crop on the supply side we should have a backend system which provides content from across world on his mobile app or mobile web. For prices and transport, we should create a marketplace for efficiencies.
