at first they need to be educated to decrease the usage of chemical fertilizers and input cost by using organic methods apart from this the consumer interaction is needed with farmer so they can get investment from them in name of advance payment for the order. for this these people must be noble trust worthy , govt need to give some certificate for financially trust worthy farmers . the products need to be labelled with farmer details so as the customers can know the quality and contact them .

As very small percentage of farmers are educated and will be in a position to use internet or other advanced means of communication. Use of TV with a Dedicated channel only to educate farmers with upto date information about better methods of farming and details of latest technology and new methods of cultivation would be of great use to educate them on large scale.

Indian agriculture is based on there traditional techniques and our farmers are only farming traditional crops. If we put our dedicated Scientist with their Research on the ground so that they can tell our farmers which type of crop they need to grow. We can select a dedicated village where a team of scientist visit for six month and give them training and show them the result in their presence. this will help us to educate our farmers with our new technology.

1st of all,We should upgrade our technology cos in USA & other European countries per acre crop production is 4 times more than India. If we manage to do this our farmers will get 4 times production on their same land and it will also help to boost up our economy. Moreover all of us will get the daily necessary things much cheaper.

Farmers should be able to access the Internet at almost zero cost. Access costs can be prohibitive, to ease that the Govt. of India should mandate that only free (free as in freedom)/GNU software should be used to access Govt. databases. These databases should use free/GNU software to escape the clutches of lock-in. Lock-in non-free software would get prohibitively costly in the future. http://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Main_Page

establish the agriculture centers at taluk level. these should collect the everyday information (like weather conditions, power cut timings, any agri scientists visiting ) in that area and those things should be send through sms in their local language and also through FM radios.

Nowadays, everyone is carrying smartphone..Mostly android Phone... The app should be developed for farmers in such way that 1. App will gather user location (through GPS) and will show weather forcast on hourly and daily basis... 2. will show satelite image of india for rain forcast. 3. Crop guidelines as per region (user location is already found in step 1 using GPS) 4. Crop current market rates...So that farmer can sell the grains and vegetables as per market without deceiving from dealer
