E-Waste Se Raksha

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for the society. With the introduction of innovative features and upgradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing in generation of electronic waste significantly. An effective collection and disposal system, as well as a recycling of end-of-life electronic devices in responsible manner is important for protecting the health and environment.

Awareness Programme on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste is being implemented across India by MeitY to create awareness among the public about the hazards of e-waste recycling by the informal sector and educate them about alternate methods of disposing their e-waste. The programme also stresses the need for adopting environment friendly e-waste recycling practices, vis-à-vis, collection and recycling mechanism. MeitY is also promoting R&D to develop technological solutions for e-waste management in environment friendly manner.

Here, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) invites entries from citizens on the theme: Environment-friendly methods/measures for disposal and recycling of e-waste

Technical Parameters: The participant should submit the written entries with the following technical parameters:
a)PDF file format only;
b)Using Text font size 12 among font type Cambria or Times New Roman or equivalent Unicode Hindi Text
c)The Line spacing would be 1.15
d)Paper Margins allowing 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides
e)Word limit - Maximum 3 pages as per specifications

Prizes:
1st : Rs. 15,000/-
2nd : Rs. 10,000/-
3rd : Rs. 5,000/-

Last date of submission is 13th February, 2020.

Growth in the IT and communication sectors has enhanced the usage of the electronic equipment vastly. Up gradation of electronic product is forcing consumers to discard old electronic products frequently, which, in turn, adds to e-waste to the solid waste stream. The growing problem of e-waste calls for greater emphasis on recycling e-waste and better e-waste management Need fully Government Organized Systems, by sorting materials, poison and pollution disposing cautiously urgently in timing

create collection centers with collaboration with common service centers or select one or two shops at every district ,village where they will be collected give value to e waste 1 or 2 ruppies such that people will collect and cell it

Please consider below abbreviations: E-waste collection centre as 'ECC' State eWaste Centre as 'SeC' Differentiating centre as 'DC' Directly Useful Items Centre as 'DUI' Reusable Item Dismantle Centre as 'RIDC' Solution: -Firstly, district-wise or in major cities ECC should be established in an area which is in centre of district/city. -All ECC at city/district level will pass their loads to a state level SeC. -Then a DC should .. please find the attachment for complete text.

The key pant in e waste management is collection. People also don't know what° do with the repaired electronics so they simply throw away. In big cities govt should start a warehouse where these unused and repaired products should be collected. For an example Ina laptop M some parts get repaired there is no option of repairing as the part is not available in the market like laptops many. So in this warehouses, govt can provide training with the little damaged products as a skill deveIopment.

E- waste is a purely recycling waste. We can re-used these wastes as for making and building another equipment. We can used it for various purposes such as in making a part of bikes, cycle, and even we will trying to inventing a new invention such as" a boy of our country had made a new rocket only with the E-waste products ". I had heard that some scientists had made a bike from E-wastes of Bill Gates. Such that we can also try to invent equipment by using these wastes .
