In the last decade it was the road network that gave an impetus to India’s development. Today the need of the hour is to set up optical fibre networks across India that will empower people. This task invites your ideas on setting up a grid of high speed networks with the potential to transform India.

http://www.satelliteinternet.co.uk/packages http://www.satelliteinternet.co.uk/how-it-works

Major problem in optcal cable netwroks is cost and mechanical weakness. OpticFiber breaks easily and hence increase in maintenance cost. Research need to be done to improve those or we should move to tower based optical networks like FSO.

1. Government should establish a new company with 51 % holding (including state governments). And for rest invite funding from the public, because, for setting up of a big optical fiber network.we require a significant amount of money. this company should try to acquire existing networks for better synergy or better utilization of bandwidth. 2. Government should also establish an another company for creating a grid of fiber optic network for better utilization of resources.

There are various network components that improves the strength of optical fiber networks (Wavelength Selective Switch).W should try to close the gap between the cables. As i said an emerging methodology made by Australians wws is a network component that uses different wavelengths of laser light to combine (or multiplex) multiple digital data streams onto a single optical fiber.we should try to learn more about it and develop a competitive method to it.

As per my knowledge, India has very good fiber network 1) BSNL/MTNL- That are not utilized properly because of corruptions and not skilled worker 2) Rail Fiber - That is second largest in India which can be used for many purposes 3) VSNL now it is called Tata communication(24% government stack)- It has world wide connectivity. My suggestion is to first make this service available to each citizen and then use WiMAX technology to provide connection to each village of india.

First i would like to thank our loved Shri. Narendra Modiji to give us opportunity to share our opinion with the govt. Best of my knowledge , there is a govt. department known as BBNL(Bharat Broadband Network Limited) , which is working behind the goal to reach all 2,50,000 Gram panchayats all over the India . so our each citizen of India should know about this department and progress of the work , which going change there world, farmers, students, etc , all are going to be benefited.

From one of Sam Pitroda's talk, it seems that it takes about 7-8 years to provide internet access (through optical fiber networks) to the rural villages of India. However, this time can be significantly reduced by providing 'temporary internet access' which can be implemented within very less time. We can use something similar to 'Project Loon' by Google- http://goo.gl/JYtdEH. Thus, this will help in faster village development and establishing fiber network simulataneously

Government has to connect every States and should use CISCO's hierarchical model. GSWAN is the best example for the same. For Fiber connectivity, India is far far away from other developed countries. We have great Highway connectivity and should suggest NHAI to construct 3"x 3" duct side of the highway to lay fiber cable. Govt. can give that duct on lease to private players like Vodafone, Reliance, TATA. So Fiber cuts can be avoid.
