The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens. Please formulate your vision statement for Pasighat (preferably in less than 50 words) and submit on www.mygov.in

The prize money for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position is Rs. 11000, Rs.7000 and Rs.5000 respectively.

The last date to submit your entries is 12th November, 2015.

Pasighat is one of the oldest town of Arunachal Pradesh. The JawaharLal Nehru College is one of the most reputed college in the state which produced a many great personalities. With the Pasighat being selected for Smart City, the upgradation and infrastructure development of JNC should be one of the main focus. and the other point to be considered is the sustainability of River Siang. Development should not have ill affect on the natural beauty of the Siang, which is the face of Pasighat.

Pasighat city should be naturally beautiful and pollution free city. Development should be done without disturbing the nature. Some cities of some countries have developed but repent today because they destroyed forests and rivers while constructing the city. If possible there should be waterways, underground drainage and cabling systems. Old and heavy vehicles entry should be restrict in and around the city and electrics and solar vehicles should be encourage for transportation.

The sustainable and balanced growth of a city depend on many factors. First we have to provide world class basic amenities and it should disturb the ecological balance also.I would like to see pasighat sustain and provide employment and also it can be educational hub and tourist hot spot due to its unique landscape.

My Vision for Pasighat-a better place to live. This dream of mine includes better connectivity to the outside world including land and air.Proper health care within our township. Better educational institution including schools and colleges. Green and clean pasighat.Embankment to be build along the bank of river siang thus protecting from floods and also it brings beautification. And above all availability of potable water and electricity.

for pasighat to be smart ,we have to create basic amenities so as to facilitate the growth of the tourism sector in a big way. the tourism can create employment and also it can generate revenue for the city and state as a whole. my vision would be that pasighat should be a tourist hot spot.

Tourism is another sector where Pasaighat stands as the most suitable and encouraging place for tourist destination. The mighty Siang river which follows near Pasighat will be an enchanting and panaromic view.

Pasighat is endowed with nature's gifted parametere,it has abandoned places to build infrastructure as that of leading cities of the work. Pasighat if selected can surpass any cities of the world.

the ulterior motive of any mission should can be anything but the punch line should be that it is something which benefit all stakeholder even the ecology of the pasighat.it should be something which the upcoming generation will also appreciate.
