Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

We need to cleanup the mess called RTO. We are one country and there should be One RTO. Current system is a cesspool of corruption. The govt needs to take urgent steps to bring some sanity into this. There has been half baked initiatives of putting a few things online here and there, but it is not working. Just visit your nearest RTO and you will see a large "unofficial support staff" outside the office and in side as well. It is not to say that most RTO officers are corrupt, but need overhaul.

Electoral system must have facility of online Voting those who are living far away from home town or home state provided with high level of Security, as a result people are not in need to move out for own constituency for voting, which in the long run will reduce the burden on Govt by reducing the expense towards payment of TA & DA for Govt employee for moving to their own constituency

I'm very glad that your aim is to provide Broadband internet service to every 'VILLAGES' , but what if there is many town who have partially broadband connection. I'm talking about my town, Arrah, bhojpur, Bihar, here some parts of town has broadband connectivity available while some parts haven't. When I went to BSNL exchange office, they told me that there is no cable at my address.Sir, I want a favour to you that please do something about this. Thank u
