To transform Lucknow into the smart city, I recommend following suggestions:-
1.)Wi-max should be all over the city.
2.)Inculcation of Cleanliness & hygiene amongst citizens.
3.)Encouragement of usage of eco-friendly vehicles for short distances.
4.)Automatic traffic monitoring system should be introduced.
5.)Promote usage of solar energy.

I have been living in Lucknow since 2010. Despite a nice landscape and reasonable infrastructure, the city has following lacunae, in my opinion :
1) Totally inadequate traffic knowledge of public
2) Traffic signals are totally absent and law enforcement on offenders is not there
3) Spitting in open, absence of civic sense
Despite beautiful monuments in and around, the robust tourism infrastructure is lacking.
Good scope for solar power generation to avoid frequent electricity outbreak.

Myself Ritesh Agarawal.
My suggestion to improve the traffic pattern in lucknow as well as whole UP. Electric supply should be more than 20 hours a day in all cities and also in the villages. strict rules should be made and implemented.

1.Govt. Should ensure that all street animals like cattle & stray dogs should be immediately relocated to places outside city area.
2. Utmost importance should be given to cleanliness. For this govt should come out with strict measures like fine for littering on streets. There should be a provision of garbage container in each locality and road side, if possible on every 100 feet in market places and shopping centres, so that citizens can throw garbage in that instead of road.

Suggestions: Traffic:- Functioning traffic lights and counseling drive for on road safety.
Education sector:Since we youth are reservoir of novel ideas, government can indulge in informative discussions on various topics ranging from environment, tourism, agriculture, social service and many more with students. It can be initiated along with the regular group discussions and activities which are part of academic curriculum keeping a record of best ideas and implementing them.

It's very alarming for us that Lucknow is most air polluted city after Delhi. So my suggestion is that in all Govt. Offices cycle should be compulsory to use all employees when they will come to their office those residence are in reachable limit. And some incentive should be given to follow this rule.
