The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

मेरा सुझाव है कि 12वी के बाद सभी युवक युव्तियो को 1साल की आर्मी ट्रेनिग दी जाये.जैसा कि कई पस्चिमि देशो मे लागू है.

1. Govt must launch such a scheme that if a person does not accept a girl child or promotes infanticide, then he must not be availed any type of govt service, nor shall he be approved for a govt job. 2. Parents must be provided with attractive facilities if they give birth to a girl child like providing them free secondary education in govt institutions, providing them scholarships, earn while learn scheme, earn after school (as part time) in govt organizations, free medical services, etc.

1. Indians must be orated to let them understand the importance of having a girl child, nukkad nataks, seminars, open public meets, advertising, mandating advertising on all type of products, etc steps can be taken by govt smart teams, NGOs, students & individual activists. 2. To eradicate social construct against girl child, there is a need to launch this great task as a mission or a campaign in India. 3. Parents must be told how women can make a better society as she takes care of the family.
