Research Organisations in India shall be accountable for effective result-oriented utilisation of funds. They shall be monitored by KPIs linked to the number of patents registered in a FY. It’s important for a poor country like India that every government entity shall be accountable for every penny of tax-payers money. Serious actions shall be planned for future of those research organisations who have turned into dead woods over the years. India can no longer afford such deadweight, no more!

Industries, and Defence shall allocate funds from their budgets to Research Centres of Excellence (REC) in premier institutes to carry out specific project-oriented research that are aligned to their growth plans. RECs shall remain accountable to these industries and Defence - who will eventually own the patents - for these specific research projects.
