1. Stop taking up projects to fulfill ego's of politicians. 2. Do not delay developmental projects for the sake of ego's of politicians. 3. If you succeed in achieving the above 2 points, half the work is done. 4. Ensure projects are executed as per schedule and finished on time without cost over runs. 5. Initiate reverse auctions for awarding proejcts. 6. Kindly ensure kick backs are minimal. That itself will deflate project costs and create lot of fiscal space.

Everyone here must be following the natural tragedies that are happening all over India and the not meeting the expectations of rehabilitation at root level as well. What we may do is engage our management students or future civil services officers as part of their practicals to study, plan and impliment the rehab according to particular areas. A temporary curb may be put for one month on the air bills of top bureaucrats and ministers and this curb may be put at least for 2 months. The Ministers tours, unless is of urgency tours may be stopped for this 2 months also. This saves the unnecessary expenditure on the frond of travel expenditure of the Govt.

The Income tax dept shall specify a last date to declare the income not declared so far stating that such income declared will be with no fine and the income tax at present rates. In othewords, if fines are waived, the Govt.gets lots of income in the form of income tax and this can be utilized for the development needs.

OVERSEAS EMBASSIES - These embassies are a huge blood sucker in our financial system. There are many officers who are just having a great extended honeymoon adding NO value to our country in the embassies. Prune down the number of embassies, number of staff. Get rid of all the overseas allowances and start having embassies ONLY in those countries it's genuinely required.
