Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Close collaboration with civic authorities and educational & technological institutes is the need. Ex. Hubli- Dharwad traffic system has at least 50+ cameras in 10+ traffic junctions, however very little inferences other than manual inferences is been carried out.

First step is to make roads in a traversable conditions. Across city all roads are very bad with unscientific road humps.

Roads are so damaged in city that we even never crossed 20km/h speed. Due to unhealthy road conditions severe health hazards are happening. Digging of the road must be avoided.

Market areas such as durgad bail and old bus stand near better vehicle parking system is needed. Even widening of such roads are essential for the current population.

Let us convert and develop eco friendly and citizens friendly city encompassing the needs and necessities of the common man to make his life easy and secure to live, travel, transact and fulfil his needs and grow comfortably. What we need is facilities that can support growth with comforts of the time that we are living.

Build simulation of the City so as to analyze the Effects of Heavy Rains in advance so as to take precautions-- to avoid Chennai like situations
