This discussion is about seeking suggestions from the citizen on the gist of the Smart City Plan of Hubballi-Dharwad.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

1.City should work towards self generation of electricity using solar energy and fed the surplus to the grid (initiate concept of smart grid locally).

The roads should have capasity to absorb water ,duirng rain. There should be under ground facility for parking of vehicles in public places. By making use of waste water we can overcome electricity problem. Vehicle free roads.[for pedestrian and for bicycle riders]
