Autism, a severe and lifelong learning disabilty is assuming epidemic proportions and is sweeping across the world. It is grossly under diagnosed in India and affected children and families do not get early attention and intervention. It would be good if interventions based on Apllied Behavior Analyis, A science I have learnt and specialized in is brought to bear on this problem for better outcomes and prospects for such children as they grow into adults.

High morale and motivation are very big tools. We should do something to boost their morale and motivate of their capabilities and the fact that their drawbacks cannot hinder them from growing. People with high morale don't need much support and they will themselves find out a way to come out with flying colours. Then, there would not be any requirement to find a way on how to provide them opportunities. Opportunity will themselves knock on their doors.
