http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chandigarh/articleshow/44732375.cms?intenttarget=no this is the story i had published yesterday. Please do not start a national policy in ten days time. It needs lots of deliberations and consensus. in 2011, the previous government worked on this draft for 3 years. It was opposed to be taken as a draft. How can the Modi government go ahead with this since its coinciding with the World Mental health day? The policy had no road map.

Adirniya Narendra Modi, To create "Equal Employment Opportunities for the Specially-abled" should be done by leveling the playing. Instead of special reservations, it should be based on their skill and output. However, the assistance should be given by providing Assistive Technology Products. This could be low tech and high tech, AT does not have to cost much but how the product is manufactured and altered is critical. US, has a special funds reserved at state and federal level.

Schools should collect the data for disabled students. Govt. hospital doctors should visit the school twice a week to confirm the disability and can issue the certificate at the spot. Bank officials can open the account at site. The completed records in all respect may be submitted to pension dept. for disbursement of funds to those who really deserve.
